What do you do at Josh? Provide technical support to our growing dealer base.
Where are you from originally? Kansas City, MO.
Which office do you work in? Remote.
What do you love about the smart home? Beyond the obvious accessibility benefits of a modern smart home, I love being able to set scenes with a simple voice command that feels natural and can be accomplished by anyone in the home.
What are you most excited about over the next few years? The convergence and democratization of control system communications through open-source communities and industry-led standards bodies.
iPhone or Android? iPhone.
What do you do for fun? Lately, chasing two children under 6 years old around the house and all over town. Previously, traveling and driving my Jeep on trails both near and far.
If you could go anywhere, where would it be? Kauai, so I could say I have been to all the major Hawaiian Islands.
Favorite restaurant in the world? Flying Iguana in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
Favorite IoT / smart home product? Motion/presence sensors. Without them, my kids’ lights would never be turned off when they are not in the room.
