Following CEDIA 2026, the Josh.ai team has been busy unlocking new possibilities through seamless integrations across audio, video, lighting, and access control. These latest updates expand compatibility with leading technology brands, improve system reliability, and give dealers even more flexibility when designing personalized smart home experiences.
Delivered through an over-the-air update, the following additions and enhancements are available now across all Josh.ai systems!
myQ Integration
Josh.ai is expanding its access control ecosystem with a certified myQ integration, developed in collaboration with Intrinsic Development. The new driver brings convenient control of compatible Chamberlain and Liftmaster garage doors directly into the Josh.ai experience. Enabling homeowners to open, close, and stop their garage doors, as well as control garage lighting connected to myQ systems.
myQ integration allows dealers to incorporate access control into a more cohesive home automation experience including interior and exterior lighting, security, and more connected devices. The result is greater convenience and a more unified approach to everyday home control. The certified myQ driver is available now for dealers to purchase through Intrinsic Development and install on a per project basis.
The launch of myQ integration also marks a milestone for Intrinsic Development as the latest independent developer to build a certified device driver leveraging Josh.ai's Nimble DevSuite. Intrinsic Development worked closely with Josh.ai’s engineering team to develop a robust and reliable integration that meets the high performance standards of the channel’s discerning clientele. The collaboration highlights Josh.ai’s growth as an industry leading control platform committed to openness, accelerated innovation, and industry-wide empowerment.
PowerShades Integration
Josh.ai is further expanding its control of natural light with PowerShades support. The integration brings control of the company's RF Gateway, as well as PowerShades PoE Gen 1 and Gen 2 motors, into the Josh.ai ecosystem through a Nimble DevSuite driver developed by Chowmainsoft.
Homeowners can adjust shade levels, open or close shades, and stop movement at the desired position using Josh.ai's intuitive touch, text, and voice control interfaces. These capabilities make it easy to manage lighting, enhance privacy, and create the perfect atmosphere for any occasion.
PowerShades integration is available globally across all Josh.ai systems at no additional cost for new and existing projects.
Samsung TV Improvements
The latest Josh.ai update introduces improved standby power-on reliability for supported Samsung TVs from 2024 onward, including Samsung's popular The Frame lineup. These enhancements power a more consistent entertainment experience, making it easier for clients to control displays as part of daily TV watching and custom scenes. The update also enables Samsung TVs to report their current channel to Josh.ai, providing additional context about what is playing and enhancing the overall control experience.
For dealers, no additional configuration or action is required. Any existing integrated Samsung TVs will migrate automatically with Josh.ai's over-the-air update. This seamless improvement demonstrates Josh.ai's ongoing commitment to refining existing integrations and delivering meaningful enhancements to installed systems.
Sonos Amp Multi Support
Josh.ai is expanding its whole-home audio capabilities with new support for Sonos Amp Multi. With this update, each output on a Sonos Amp Multi appears as a separate Sonos stream within Josh.ai, enabling independent music playback across up to four different zones.
Clients will enjoy the freedom to personalize their listening experience across multiple areas while orchestrating audio throughout their whole-home. Equipped with the Active Media Hub in the Josh App, users can quickly play their favorite content, make volume adjustments, and group audio zones.
Sonos Amp Multi also equips professional installers with more flexibility to deploy distributed audio systems while incorporating Josh.ai's VoiceCast feature to broadcast respones and notifications through a home's architectural speakers.
